Alexa Stratton is an actor and theatre artist based in New York City.

I was born and raised in a family of performers in Dallas, TX. With an older brother who never let me get a word in, and a mom who sang as much as she spoke, at the age of 5 I found myself drawn to the theatre as an outlet to express my fiery inner life. Through many busy years, I went from following in footsteps to falling completely in love with acting. Play after play, I developed a deep love for interpersonal relationships and exploring storytelling through physical movement and ensemble work. At any early age, I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to a life of collaboration and ferocious passion.

I have spend the last four years pursuing a BFA in Drama, and will be graduating from New York University Tisch School of the Arts in May. I have been lucky enough to have trained in the Atlantic Acting Studio, and most recently, in Amsterdam for an unforgettable International Theatre Workshop. My ultimate dream is to continue to perform and create here in the city - or anywhere I possibly can - with people who are committed to curiosity and play.

Who I am as a person and performer is a unification of the spirited five-year-old me, and the overwhelming love I have both experienced and cultivated over the years of growing up. I can’t help but lead with a bleeding heart and a burning desire to make work with others who believe wholeheartedly in the power of art.
